Philadelphia Garden Show

by Melissa Snyder

The 2025 Philadelphia Flower Show is 200 years old and the world's largest indoor flower show.  The theme was "Gardens of Tomorrow, " a cacophony of color!

Landscape architects, garden designers, horticulturists, and vendors filled the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

It was bustling with ooohs and aaahs.

Outside, my extended family and I were pleasantly bombarded with sights, scents, and sounds in the City of Brotherly Love. The French Renaissance Revival, Georgian, Art Deco, and Modern architecture stood side by side in the beautiful city.

It was exciting to see Quakers, a ukulele musician, middle America, and people from all over the world packed onto a street crossing.

One evening at The Victor Café, the servers delivered tasty Italian food and graced us with aria from various operas every 15 minutes!

Parc on Rittenhouse Square had a wonderful French fare reminiscent of the most memorable trip to Côte d'Azur.

Of course, Philly Cheesesteaks were a must while visiting this busy, yet welcoming city.

History was everywhere we looked. We felt like we were on hallowed ground while touring Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, and we're grateful for our Founding Fathers and their drafting of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

There was only so much we could pack in 2.5 days, but we got a great taste of this city.
