PARK ON POLK
A Must See! Spring has Sprung
Don't miss this opportunity.
Starting Wednesday, March 22nd

March 1st, Dani and Marcy hosted a morning of doughnuts and refreshment to tour the project points.
It was lovely to see the plantings that were blooming while inspecting the areas designated for the Marietta Daisies to transform.
The environs are already serene and inviting to work amongst.
CHECK THE SCHEDULE AND
MAKE A PLAN to begin work on this incredible opportunity to transform these 2 areas of Park on Polk, Historic Marietta.

Who doesn't like butterflies and planting flowers to bring these little darlings to the garden!
BUTTERFLY GARDEN
Phases are we’ll start off in front of the cabin.
We are going to plant a butterfly/pollinator garden in front of the cabin.
First while it’s still to early to plant we’ll prune the shrubbery, work on the bearded iris and do a general sprucing up.When the weather is warm enough to plant we’ll start planting the pollinators plants such as butterfly bush, lantana, Echinacea cone flower, crocosmia, etc.

There is something magical about this insanely large stump footprint, left by one of the oldest trees in Marietta. You're going to want to be a part of this Stump Garden!
SERENITY GARDEN including STUMP GARDEN
Second location inside the garden is a small hike just behind the cabin, one of the oldest trees in Marietta left an enormous stump footprint.
The "Stump Garden" is planned for this area. Adjoining is the "Serenity Garden" which will be enhanced by planting some perennials and sprucing it up.
Once all is planted we’ll set up a maintenance schedule for watering, deadheading, fertilizing, etc. General sprucing up as in raking, picking up dead branches, mulching and fertilizing.
This is a shared community project with the"Park Keepers" group from
First United Methodist Church of Marietta.
