In the morning, Melissa enjoyed a stroll on the rampart. She continued her morning walk toward the Antibes fresh market.
Being Sunday there were some additional vendors showcasing clothes, shoes & jewelry providing Melissa with a great opportunity to stock up on some more gifts for her friends and family.
(She gave me a beautiful green scarf.
Happy, happy, happy!).
Bryan and I met up with Melissa for lunch at one of our favorite places in Antibes.
We love their fish dishes and pomme frites, (French fries).
After lunch Bryan drove us to Menton for the citrus festival, The Fete du Citron.
(The festival celebrates the annual production of specialty lemons and other citrus fruit in Menton. All the floats and sculptures present at the carnival are created from lemons and oranges. The celebration takes place every year in mid-February.)
Upon arriving we could not find a parking space anywhere.( I read later there is an average of 200,000 attendees).
Bryan tried for an hour to find to park, while Melissa & I had the absolutely best desserts, coffee and tea.

Poor Bryan!
After circling for the hour he picked us up where we preceded to leave Menton.(I did bring him his dessert & coffee to go).
However Bryan did drive us as close as possible to the fruit sculptures so we snapped a few photos of the exhibition.
Leaving Menton we decided to stop over in Monaco. We enjoyed a lovely walk through a Japanese inspired garden and ate dinner at a restaurant on the beach, Le Note Bleue.
Bryan did a drive by the famous casino before heading back home.

Upon arriving in Antibes we were greeted by the church bells ringing the end of evening mass. So beautiful!
Tomorrow its back to Nice for the antiques market, my favorite.
